Prerequisites: Ages 7 and above must take ballet before progressing to Modern.

Nyama McCarthy-Brown, as Modern Director, will develop our modern program which will include various techniques such as Horton and Graham. Nya is completing her PhD in Dance at Temple University and will conduct Master classes.

Course	Description
Beginner	This is an introductory class for 7 + years to modern dance. They will learn a basic warm-up, technique in the style being taught, across the floor and choreography. Students will learn to break the boundaries of ballet and move their bodies in ways they could never imagine.
Intermediate	A more in depth look at modern dance. The class moves at a faster pace and the movements become more demanding. Entry to this level requires a minimum 2 years of modern experience and an assessment by teacher.
